A small side table made with hand-sawn rosewood veneers, solid wenge (Africa) and double-bevel marquetry. The pieces that make up the marquetry image are all natural wood colors. The sense of shading and dimension in the marquetry image is achieved by combining various shades and grain patterns to create a feeling of shadows and layers. The finish is shellac and oil.
